About us

Salam

My name is Salam. I am a mindfulness practitioner. I believe mindfulness carries within it seeds of life transformation. I created Sangha Stories program for children and Twelve Seeds concept, as a mindfulness seed offering.

I have been on a self exploration journey since 1996, to understand what we are made of, what true happiness is, and how things interconnect. I became a yoga and mindfulness practitioner in 2006 and continue to practice every day. I am passionate about all children of the world including my two beautiful ones (12 and 9 years old). I have a passion for reading literature and love sharing classical and modern stories with our Sangha Stories children.

My life continues to be transformed by the practice. This work is strictly secular and suits all faiths and beliefs. It is a love offering in continuation of my beautiful teacher and Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. It is also in continuation of people who inspire us everyday. Speaking of which, my husband Ziggy is our art guru, and we share our space with our 2 children, a mini poodle called Cookie and a Scottish fold called Lily, who definitely keep us grounded in the present moment!
